KPMG Women's Irish Open: Indian Quartet Makes Solid Start

Indian golfing sensations Diksha Dagar, Urs Pranavi, Tvesa Malik, and Ridhima Dilawari have made a solid start at the KPMG Women’s Irish Open, held at the prestigious Carton House Golf Club.

The quartet showcased their exceptional skills on the challenging course, posting respectable scores in the opening round.

Dagar Diksha, a rising star in the Indian golfing landscape, delivered a steady performance, carding a one-under-par round to place tied 29th on the leaderboard. Her consistent play throughout the round, highlighted by four birdies and 11 pars, showcased her ability to navigate the demanding course effectively.

Urs Pranavi, another talented Indian golfer, also made a commendable debut. She finished the day with an even-par score, securing a tied 45th finish. Pranavi’s four birdies and 10 pars demonstrated her skill and determination.

Tvesa Malik, a seasoned campaigner on the LET, posted a three-over-par 76 to place tied 101st. While her score was higher than her compatriots, Malik’s experience and ability to bounce back make her a potential contender for a strong finish.

Ridhima Dilawari, on the other hand, faced a tougher challenge, carding a seven-over-par 80 to place 132nd.

With the tournament still in its early stages, all four Indian golfers have positioned themselves well for a strong finish. Their impressive performances have undoubtedly raised expectations among Indian golf fans, who will be eagerly following their progress in the coming rounds.

Following the conclusion of the first round, Fanali Alessandra of Italy, Sobron Galmes Luna of Spain, and Wikstrom Ursula of Finland lead the leaderboard with a score of five-under-par.

The Indian golfers will be back in action today for the second round of the KPMG Women’s Irish Open. Pranavi will tee off at 1:30 PM, Tvesa Malik at 5:30 PM, Diksha at 5:42 PM, and Ridhima Dilawari at 6:42 PM.
