India’s para-badminton contingent continues to make waves at the Paris Paralympics, securing another podium finish in the women’s singles SU5 category.
Manisha Ramadass clinched a bronze medal after a commanding victory over Denmark’s Cathrine Rosengren in the third-place match. Ramadass, displaying exceptional skill and determination, triumphed with a score of 21-12, 21-8. While Thulasimathi Murugesan also made a significant impact, securing a silver medal in the same category. Despite a valiant effort, Murugesan fell short against China’s defending champion, Yang Qiu Xia, in the final.
India’s para-badminton team has been a standout performer at the Paralympics, with impressive victories and medals. This latest achievement further solidifies the nation’s position as a global powerhouse in the sport.
