Indian golfer Anirban Lahiri kicked off his LIV Golf Greenbrier campaign with a steady, even-par 70, positioning him in a tie for 38th place.
Despite a momentary hiccup with a bogey on the seventh hole, Lahiri showcased remarkable consistency and precision throughout the round.
His resilience was on full display as he bounced back with a crucial eagle on the 18th, salvaging par for the day.
While the spotlight was on the trio of Jason Kokrak, Talor Gooch, and Sebastián Muñoz, who set the course ablaze with matching 63s (-7), Lahiri’s steady performance laid a solid foundation for a potential climb up the leaderboard.
The second round sees Anirban paired with golfing powerhouses Louis Oosthuizen and Dustin Johnson as they tee off from the 11th hole at 8:45 PM IST. With the course already proving to be a scoring opportunity, Lahiri will be aiming to capitalize on favourable conditions and make a significant move up the leaderboard.
